For the fourth year in a row, the WYO PLAY Middle School Drama Club is bringing together young actors from Big Horn and Tongue River middle schools for a special one-night-only performance at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center.
Acting Out! is a partnership between WYO PLAY and Sheridan County School District 2 elementary schools centered around nine-week after-school residencies, interactive storytelling and an original performance of a fractured fairytale.
The action takes place in "The Pony Expresso,” a coffee shop and pony express station in the budding community of Waterpit, Nevada, where many people are coming to settle at a time when it seemed like everyone in the West was horsing around.
Join WYO PLAY for an open-mic-style storytelling competition with the theme of “Landmarks” in the Lotus Café at the WYO Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Nov. 19.
The evening will culminate with a 7 p.m. performance from Grammy-winning artists Villalobos Brothers with an opening from the Holy Name Bilingual Choir.
The 2024 WYO Premiere set for Oct. 19 will feature Tootsie, a musical comedy focused on chasing dreams and the antics utilized to do so.
