Being a volunteer is not limited to WYO Theater productions. The Theater is also rented by local groups/artists and volunteers are needed for these performances as well.
Volunteer duties include but are not limited to: greeting the public, assisting patrons to their seats, taking tickets, distributing programs, picking up the theater after a show, and working in the concession area. Concession volunteers will be required to take TIPS training. You may also be asked to help with event set-up or in the case of technical volunteers, you may be asked to operate the spotlight, work backstage, move props, or hoist curtains.
Volunteers will work most evenings; usually on weekends and must be punctual, reliable and stay for the duration of the show. Ushers and ticket takers should arrive to the theater 45 minutes prior to the show; concession volunteers should arrive 1 hour prior. Attire should consist of black pants and a white shirt. The WYO provides black vests with the WYO emblem.
In the event you sign up to volunteer and are unable to attend, please call the Box Office in advance at 672-9084.
Our volunteers are important to the successful operation of the theater and the safety and comfort of our patrons. Thank you for all you do!
