SHERIDAN — Some of the greatest stories center around a sense of place. A place can define a person, create conflict or invoke feelings that last a lifetime.
Join WYO PLAY for an open-mic-style storytelling competition with the theme of “Landmarks” in the Lotus Café at the WYO Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Nov. 19.
The event will include storytellers each sharing a five-minute tale for the chance to win cash prizes. All are welcome to attend this free event.
WYO PLAY is an education initiative of the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center. It is a dynamic series of educational programs aimed at all age groups in creative, collaborative and playful artmaking. ‘PLAY’ stands for Place-based Performances, Life-long Learning, Accessibility for All, and Youthfulness!
For additionalinformation about the event, see wyotheater.com.
