A new stage production for the entire family, The Remember Balloons, will debut at the WYO November 7 at 7 p.m. This captivating dance-theater performance weaves contemporary choreography, an original score, and imaginative digital projections. Inspired by the award-winning children’s book, it delicately explores Alzheimer’s, memory loss, and grief while celebrating the beauty of shared memories.
Director and choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson began developing the piece in collaboration with Sheridan College students, Meadowlark Elementary students, and participants from The Hub on Smith. Together with composer Theron Brown, Moore-Dunson has created a dynamic, intergenerational experience blending modern and social dance with the sounds of jazz, blues, Motown, and classical music.
Designed to resonate with all ages, The Remember Balloons offers families an unforgettable experience filled with movement, music, and visual storytelling.
