Join us in celebrating and recognizing the achievements of Sheridan County high school athletes. All year they work through busy schedules, weather and other adversity to achieve big things on and off the field, court and track.
Marcie Lane, the current assistant coach for the Sheridan High School wrestling program, will join the event as a guest speaker. Lane qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China, for Team USA. She finished in ninth place out of 16 wrestlers at the age of 26.
In addition to the guest speaker and awards program, The Sheridan Press will again recognize a winner of the Katie Malin French Be Fierce Award for Perseverance. This award, named in honor of former Press employee and local athlete, honors a local athlete who has shown grit and character in overcoming adversity. The award also includes a scholarship.
Please note: Individual award nominees will receive 1 complimentary ticket to attend the event. They must redeem their ticket from the WYO box office. We recommend each nominee pick up their ticket from the WYO before the night of the event.
