A Little Help From My Friends

“A Little Help From My Friends” — The Easterseals Players show us, using humor, music, heroic friends and a smashing finale, how they cope with daily life. This production pulls together stunning costumes, upbeat music and bright dialogue to give those of us who are not disabled a glimpse of the prejudices that often greet people with disabilities. These actors portray many things they deal with, starting with just getting ready to go out for the day. The audience comes to understand how important friends are in facing mockery, pity or a simple lack of knowledge; playgoers also may see a bit of themselves in some of the behavior in the play, and may come away with increased awareness about how to treat anyone with a disability. Through it all, our friends with disabilities adjust and adapt, with a little help from their friends.
Admission cost is donation at the door of any amount.
