Dave Munsick: An Intimate Evening With The Songteller

Friday, November 12, 7:00pm

Dave Munsick is a local treasure. He has distilled half a decade of full living into the songs that he writes and the stories that he tells as he entertains crowds as a solo performer as well as a band member. He’s opened for or played with names including Ian Tyson, Chris LeDoux, and Lyle Lovett. In 2016 he and his family band, The Munsick Boys, were awarded the prestigious Best Western Band by the Academy of Western Artists.

Dave’s songs reflect finely crafted moments from his life; they are songs that capture the heart of the land and the people who live there. He has recorded six cds of original songs as well as published a book, Songteller: Notes From The Road, in which he uses his unique perspective to describe experiences he’s had following his songs around the country. He continues to write and perform, allowing his music to take him to new territories as he explores the art of telling a good story within a song.

“Dave Munsick captures the spirit of the people both harmonically and humanistically. He is an exemplary writer.” Michael Martin Murphey
