WYO PLAY is hosting auditions for the Spring 2024 Youth Musical: James and the Giant Peach Jr! The story of a young boy and his insect friends as they take a journey of self-discovery across the ocean. Inspired by the book by Roald Dahl.
The Youth Musical is open to students currently in 2nd-9th Grades.

Then, they should come to the WYO Theater–this year in the Tandem Rehearsal Hall (3rd Fl, enter through door on Brundage St) during Open Audition times:
- Friday, April 26th, 4:30 – 6:30 pm: 2nd-5th Graders
- Saturday, April 27th, at 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: 6th-9th Graders
Some students will be invited to Callback Auditions for a few character roles:
- Saturday, April 27th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm
No preparation is required to audition. Students will be called up to the stage in groups and asked individually to introduce themselves and sing Row Row Row Your Boat acapella. Then, we will teach everyone a few bars of vocals from one of the show songs, and each student will sing the song section with the music track.
Casting will not be announced right away on the same weekend, as with last year. Instead, cast members will be notified by mid week, around May 1st.Â
Rehearsal Schedule: The first rehearsal will take place on Thursday, May 2nd from 4:30-6:30pm. After that, rehearsals will be held every weekday, M-F, 4:30-6:30pm. Detailed rehearsal schedules that list which characters are called on which days will be sent out each week. No excused absences on or after June 3rd.
Performance Dates: June 12, 13, 14, 15!
