Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

Richard Dowling’s Great Scott! A Centennial Celebration of Scott Joplin

Grammy nominated musician Dr. Martin Taylor, MBE, is a virtuoso guitarist, composer, educator and musical innovator whom Acoustic Guitar magazine calls ‘THE Acoustic Guitarist of his Generation’. Widely considered to be the world’s foremost exponent of solo jazz and fingerstyle guitar playing, Taylor possesses an inimitable style that has earned him global acclaim from fellow musicians, fans and critics alike. Grammy winning guitarist Laurence Juber is a solo performer, recording artist, composer, and arranger. His playing fuses folk, jazz, blues, pop, and classical styles, creating a multi-faceted performance that belies the use of only one instrument. A music graduate of London’s Goldsmith’s College, he was featured guitar soloist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra before becoming established as a studio musician in the mid-1970’s. First internationally recognized as lead guitarist in Beatle Paul McCartney’s Wings, with whom he won a Grammy.

Hot Club of San Francisco, Meet Me in Paris

Valentine’s Day brings Gypsy Jazz to the WYO with the Hot Club of San Francisco’s ‘Meet Me in Paris.’ This ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Quintette du Hot Club de France with style and panache. The HCSF borrows the instrumentation of violin, bass, and guitars from the original Hot Club while breathing new life into the music with innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions from the group’s superb lead guitarist, Paul Mehling. Featuring the amazing violin of twice Grammy Award-winning Evan Price, the velvet vocals of Isabelle Fontaine whose mix of sweet and sultry songs adds a touch of beauty and authenticity that echoes the historic Ville-Lumière, “the city of light”.

The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra

The Glenn Miller Orchestra, the most popular and sought after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements. With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates a year all around the world.

The Kingston Trio

This legendary folk trio come to the WYO as a legacy of talent. Josh Reynolds and Mike Marvin are the son and nephew of Nick Reynolds, a founding member of the Trio. They are joined by Tim Gorelangton who was the only artist that Nick Reynolds recorded with outside of the trio. Their music helped pave the way for future folkies like Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.

The Villalobos Brothers

May signals the end of the WYO season as well as the Mexican celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The WYO will recognize that event, if only a little late, with The Villalobos Brothers, contemporary high-octane Mexican Fiddling. Winners of the Battle of the Boroughs, NPR’s flagship competition in Manhattan and the first band from Mexico to ever play the Apollo Theater as Featured Guest Artist.
